The Baguette is the bag that launched Fendi into the history of contemporary ready-to-wear. Silvia Venturini Fendi designed it in 1997: a supple rectangle, barely wider than a paperback book, with a small short handle intended to be tucked under the arm—like a baguette, hence the name. Its success eclipsed everything that came before. Carrie Bradshaw carried it in every season of Sex and the City, the house produced hundreds of variations, and the term "it bag" entered the fashion lexicon to specifically denote this very bag.
What makes it great has not changed. A format that holds exactly what you need—no more, no less—and a clasp that became an emblem: the interlocking FF logo, treated as a metallic loop on a leather tab, which closes with a single magnetic motion. You open it with one hand, you close it without thinking. It is a bag you wear without a second thought.
This version is crafted in Zucchino jacquard canvas—the FF monogram woven into the material rather than printed, giving it a more matte, textile finish—in beige and navy blue. The closing tab, trim, and handle are in matching navy leather, and the hardware is silver-toned with the signature FF clasp. A more sober chromatic choice than the pink, embroidered, or sequined Baguettes that made the model legendary, and thus easier to integrate into a modern wardrobe. The interior volume accommodates a compact wallet, phone, AirPods, lipstick, keys, and a passport.
